General Descriptions

EDAS-24IP Seismic Acquisition Server is a kind of new-type acquisition device which is specially developed for IP communication of seismic observations with high resolution and large dynamic range, which supports network communication and data transmission based on Internet and supports large-capacity data storage. It has the functions of data acquisition, recording and network serving and features small size (only 1/3 as small as the former generation) and low power consumption. Therefore, it is suitable for National and regional Digital Seismic Observation Networks and especially for mobile seismic observations.

EDAS-24IP is designed with high integration. In a very small size, it integrates a 3/6-channel 24-bit acquisition unit, a large-capacity HD, a rechargeable battery, a digital Signal Processing unit and a network processing unit to realize the powerful functions of network communication and data management service.

EDAS-24IP has a built-in large-capacity USB-port Hard Disk which supports continuous seismic data recording. Using trigger algorithm, it can also record seismic effect data. Recording both the above data simultaneously can be stored longer than 1 year.

EDAS-24IP provides with compatible RS-232 series ports to support real-time stream output, connection to MODEM and series network protocol. It also provides with a 10M/100M self-compatible LAN Ethernet port to realize the quick data access and management.

Through the WWW Protocol, EDAS-24IP can realize the remote management function including parameter setting, parameter inquiry, statue inquiry, data management and real-time waveform monitoring etc; and through the FTP Protocol, realize the remote management function including the effect data playback and the waveform data playback during the appointed period etc. The continuous data transmission has got two methods: one outputs through the series port and its format is the same as that of the former generation like EDAS-C24 and EDAS-24L etc; the other through TCP Protocol.

The built-in rechargeable battery of EDAS-24IP provides with the protection against the sudden electric interruption to ensure the integration of the recording.

In a word, EDAS-24IP featuring small size, low power consumption, powerful data recording and quick network data playback is very suitable for mobile observations. The whole outdoor mobile observation system including the server itself, the solar energy plates, the battery, support accessories and connecting cables etc but excluding the seismometer can be put into a specially designed Aluminium case.(510mm X 400mm X 270mm
