General Descriptions

BBVS-120 features broad band, high sensitivity and large dynamic range. Its transmission function is very stable and it is suitable for Broadband Seismic Observations.

BBVS-120 Broadband Seismometer uses the technique of precise capacity-displacement transduction and force-balanced electronic feedback and its electric circuit board which includes the electronic feedback circuit, control circuit and DC power transformer circuit etc is installed together with the seismometer body in a sealed case in which the motor zero-point is also installed to remotely adjust the zero-point, which makes it small in size and convenient in use and installation.

BBVS-120 uses 3 sensors which are exactly the same as one another, hanged on the tilt, installed in the same water level and equally distributed along the circle to form 120º angles. Compared with the common 3-component seismometer which consists of a vertical and 2 horizontal, it features better consistency. The built-in output circuit of BBVS-120 has the function of coordinate system shift as to output the traditional 3-component signal. Besides, It has some bolts to lock the seismometer externally and there is no need to open the case for locking or unlocking.
